How I Can Support You
NDIS & Disability Support
Occupational Therapy services offer a vital role in supporting people with a disability and their support networks. Those already accessing the NDIS can request the following services:
Comprehensive Functional Capacity assessment and reports
Assistive technology prescription, reports and training
Minor home modification assessments and reports
Aged Care
Supporting individuals to remain safe and independent in their home is an important part of Occupational Therapy services. I offer home safety assessments and interventions which may include the following recommendations:
Home modifications e.g. grab rails and ramps
Equipment prescription e.g. personal alarms, shower and toilet aids, wheelchairs and scooters, pressure care
Referrals to other health care professionals e.g. physiotherapists, speech pathologists, community nursing services
Driving Assessments
Driving is an important part of our clients’ lives. The Driver Trained Occupational Therapist’s role is to determine the impact a person’s medical condition/s may or may not be having on their ability to drive safely.
Assessment includes an off-road component followed by an on-road assessment with an experienced Rehab Trained Driving Instructor. I will then complete a comprehensive report which provides the outcome of the driving assessment as well as recommendations for changes to the persons driver’s license, remediation plan and/or car modifications.
I also liaise with your health professionals and the Roads & Maritime Service (RMS).
Am I Right For You?
I am based in Newcastle NSW and offer a mobile service to your home. Charges for travel will be included in the quotes for the services requested. I work with clients who are currently in receipt of a Home Care Package (MAC), Self-managed or Plan-managed NDIS plans and private clients.
If this sounds like you, get in touch I would love to hear from you.
