Hi, I’m Bernadette.
I’m an Occupational Therapist and Director of Cooper Allied Health specialising in comprehensive functional assessments, assistive technology (equipment) prescription, home modifications, and driving assessments.
I take a holistic, person-centred approach to all services, working collaboratively with you and your support network to address your unique needs and goals.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience across a range of funding bodies, including the NDIS, Service NSW (RMS), icare, and aged care providers.

I am a fully qualified Occupational Therapist, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Sydney in 2007. In 2015, I completed postgraduate training in Driving Assessment and Rehabilitation to become a qualified driver assessor OT.
I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) — registration number OCC0001730377 — and maintain full professional membership.

I’m an Occupational Therapist, Director and General Manager of Cooper Allied Health with a passion for helping adults improve their independence and quality of life. My areas of expertise include functional capacity assessments, assistive technology prescription, minor and complex home modifications, and specialist housing reports (SIL, ILO, and SDA).
I provide practical, goal-focused solutions to help people live safely and comfortably in their homes and communities. I enjoy problem-solving and working closely with individuals, families, and support teams to navigate complex systems and access the right supports.
With extensive experience in both the disability and aged care sectors, I’m committed to supporting adults to maintain their independence and enhance their daily living.

Megan’s Qualifications & Experience
I am a fully qualified Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Newcastle. In 2017, I completed the nationally recognised Home Modifications Course for Occupational Therapists (CPPACC4020A and CPPACC5016A). I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) — Registration Number: OCC0002137502 — and maintain full professional membership.

Bernadette and Megan are both based in Newcastle, NSW, and provide mobile occupational therapy services in your home, as well as telehealth appointments where appropriate.
We support clients who are:
- Over the age of 18
- Self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS
- Funded through Home Care Packages (HCP) or Support at Home (My Aged Care)
- Accessing Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services
- icare assessments and interventions
- Private clients seeking occupational therapy support
We offer mobile OT services across:
- Newcastle & Lake Macquarie
- Northern Central Coast
- Hunter Region, including Maitland, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, and Scone
- Rural outreach trips to areas such as Armidale, Tamworth, Forster, and Dorrigo — area available by negotiation, depending on referral volumes
- Telehealth services available for clients outside these areas or with specific access needs
Travel charges will be included in all service quotes, in line with the funding system applicable to your referral.
